The daily weirdness etc...

Well, today has been a cool day. I still have my job and I am feeling positive about that mess. Sometimes things happen that you have no control over. But last night I told myself that, I have alot of experience as a manager, trainer and in customer service and financial services and I am good at what I do and with people, I also have an impressive resume and lots of good references so I have nothing to worry about even if I do lose my job. I don't think I will though. I also decided I better get my assin gear and start getting serious about writing and getting published then I can do my own thing.

This morning I left the house to walk to the bus stop and my little black kitten Trip started following me to the bus so I had to turn back and chase him home. He doesn't realize that I am not coming home, he thinks I am going up to the store and back. So I chased him home and he ran up the orange tree and the poor little guy was too afraid to come down so I had to help him down. Nothing like a little frightened ball of fur and claws jumping into your arms. At least he trusted me enough to jump and let me catch him. My daughters have named all of our pets except for my dog Roxie and my kitten Catarina Butterfield, We have a cat named Tortie cat named Cookie, an Orange Tabby named Stoner, we had a cat named Reggie Miller, and a cinnamon lab named MaryJane. Jeez.... notice anything similar about the names??? Stoner got his name for a reason. but thats another story...

Now for the daily wierdness... I was getting on the bus this morning and the guy behind me kept saying "Maite, Maite!" to me and I'm like "what the fuck???" Then he sits down and starts rocking back in forth in his seat really fast. I am like "alrighty then..." Since Maite was said to me or rather at me I looked it up on the computer when I got to work and found out it means Maria Teresa. My name doesn't have Teresa in it but it does have Maria in it and he was saying to me. So yeah, the daily wierdness...first thing in the morning... (imagine twilightzone music playing) lol!

For some reason I have been craving a coke. So I said out loud at home "I am craving Coke" and every one turned and looked at me like I meant something else. Lol! No the drink!! Not the powder. I don't do that stuff, it's over priced and over rated. So my daughter went to the store and got me one. Yummy!!! I don't normally crave Coke though it is my soda of choice. So that was unusual, I have no idea what brought that on.

Chloe and Hannah went to stay a few days with Tyler (Hannah's dad and Chloes step dad) On Friday I am off work to go with Shannon to court for her and Tylers custody hearing. Tyler is always being a jerk, he is rude and obnoxious, and always trying to make call him dad. Chloe has a dad, and he lives in North Dakota so she calls her dad (My Daddy in Dakota) Tyler had the hardest time understanding that he cannot have custody of Chloe because she is not his and she has a dad. I don't get it... Why can't he just be her friend, why can't he just be a step dad. I mean come on...really!!! I was a step mom, my ex had a 13 year old daughter and at the time I was 23. She had a mom and the last thing she needed was someone trying to replace her mom. She had already been through that with my ex's previous girlfriend. I believe that a step parent should be a friend, first you gotta let the child get used to you, and you have to be yourself, you can't bad mouth either parent and you have to just let the child decide the relationship you will have. She and I ended up being really good friends. It was cool she still respected me as an adult but we were really close. Too bad Tyler can't be like that.

A friend of mine posted a video on his blog that was cool and made me laugh. He has been working on a project that is going to be totally awesome and it is almost finished. He grew out his beard and his hair and he looks great like that. He has a great sense of humor too, and I am glad for that. He would get along great with everyone here.

I am going to post 1 more blog because this one is already long. Then I gotta go work out and go to bed.

Big hugs,
Maria
