Merry Christmas

Today has been great! The kids enjoyed their gifts and are having a great time playing with their new toys. Chloe got to talk to her real Dad, Glenn who is in North Dakota but may be moving back here. That would be great for Chloe.

We watched Prince Caspian, I love the Narnia movies.

Dinner turned out well. Dessert is coming up. Pumpkin Pie, Cheesecake, Cherry pie, chocolate covered pretzels and cookies. I was up till 2:30 AM last night making desserts.

The weather has been rainy off and on and in the 50's. Dark clouds are rolling in and it is about to really start raining. I plan to retreat to my room before Sparkle (Sparky's new name) comes home. I want to read and do some meditation. I work tomorrow and then i am off for the weekend.

My oldest daughter Elyse, just got married to josh who just joined the army earlier this year. They have been living in Florida, but he was stationed in Alaska, they just moved there and now in February he is being deployed to Afganistan. I new it would happen, and now she will be in Alaska with her daughter Kayla alone while he is gone. I am hoping her Dad will come up there and stay with them while he is gone. She hates Alaska, she's very homesick and she and Josh are having difficulties. She and Kayla are wlcome to come to Arizona and stay with us if they want to while he is gone. Who knows how long he will be there or if he will ever come back. Her dad lived in Alaska for years so if he could go out there and stay it would be great. It would be good for both of them. One way or another we will help her get through it all but she really needs someone to be there with her. I wish I could go.

My oldest son called from Iowa. It's snowing and windy there and it is 32 degrees. I would love snow for Christmas. I loved it when we lived in Chicago when I was younger, and when we would go up to Flagstaff in Northern Az fir the holidays and it would snow. I am a coldweather girl. I love the mountains, and yet I love the water as well.

Well, I am going to straighten up the kitchen and wash my jeans for work tomorrow then it is off to my room to get spiritual.

Hugs,
Maria
