Maria's ark part 2

Last night I got a chance to sit with the puppy and just hold her and she fell fast asleep on my chest. I ran in to Erin in the kitchen about 4:30 this morning when I went to get Chloe a drink and she looked exhausted. She said the puppy wouldn't stop crying so she brought MaryJane into the room, she is our Lab who is almost a year old and has decided to act like a momma to the pup. So the pup snuggled up to MaryJane and I think that helped. She really is too young to be away from her mom and her littermates. She's gotta be only about 3 to 4 weeks old and her legs are still a bit wobbly so she only just started to walk. She has a German Shepards coloring but she looks allot like a mastiff pup. What ever she is she's going to be a big girl when she gets older! At least she is safe here and no one horrible got a hold of her.

Sparky started complaining about the pup. He said "Did you see the thing Erin brought home?" I said "you mean the puppy? Of course I did" Then he started doing a count down of all the pets we have and how many have come through the house since we moved here. For some reason animals are attracted to us, it's like they know if they are hurt or lost they can find shelter and help with us. It's always been that way with both wild and domestic animals, so sometimes we nurse the injured and sick ones back to health before finding homes for them. Sometimes we keep them. Anyway he really started getting on my nerves, and I said to him "and your point is? I am well aware of whats been going on in my house and it will continue to go on. It's not like there are 50 million animals running around there are 5 cats and 3 dogs. Soon there will be 4 cats and 3 dogs. I mean, shit, it's my damn business not his. He is not my husband, or anything else so he needs to keep his opinion to himself. He is leaving today after he finishes babysitting and he will be gone for 4 days! Now that will be like heaven....

Nancy's birthday party is tonight. I am hoping it will go well with no drama. But the girls are all adults, and I don't need to be in charge so I will say hi to people but I really want to spend the night in me and Chloes room, I will watch a movie with Chloe and catch up on my reading and writing and spiritual stuff. I can't really drink because of my blood sugar and I really don't feel like hanging out. I have other things I need to do. So today I will let the girls clean up and get ready for the party. I am not going to do too much. I shouldn't have too.

Well, I gotta run, Chloe wants me to make her "macon and eggs" Chloe beats the eggs and puts cheese in them and then I cook the bacon and the eggs. She is so proud of herself that she can me cook.

Hugs,
Maria
