Mermaids

Things have been going pretty well lately. Shannon bought a car, it's a Lancer ES! So she is all excited! Now we can get around easier. Tyler her ex took off with the truck they had when they split up. Leaving her and the girls with no transportation. my car took a finally dump and we had to get rid of it. But now we are set.

Chloe tried to run off down the street yesterday looking for Tyler who is Hannah's dad and her step dad. The girls were missing him allot. So Shannon took them to see Tyler who was very rude and told her to take the girls home and for them never to come back again. He cussed her out in front of them. Then he says he will do what ever it takes in court to take them from her and get custody. First off, Chloe isn't his, second, he never showed up in court or did anything the judge ordered and that's why Shannon got full custody. Third he doesn't want to see them or support Hannah, and he told her never to bring them back. So what ever, his words are as always verbal farting. Shannon is a great mom and the girls are surrounded with love from their mom, me, and their aunties. I raised my kids on my own, and Shannon and her girls have lots of support from all of us. Right now we all share a 4 bedroom house, and eventually Nancy and Erin will get their own places. I will be here to help Shannon and the kids till they no longer need me. I may end up watching them full time till I find a fulltime job or they go to preschool. Sparky is not a positive male role model and he is teaching them nothing. They know their colors, shapes etc. But they need to be learning things and doing art projects and going on nature walks to collect leaves and rocks and stuff to learn about nature. So that is what we are doing. I think maybe a trip to the zoo this weekend might be fun for them too. Especially now when the weather is cool. In another 2 months it will be hot again.

Chloe's new favorite movie is Mermaids, with Cher, Winona Rider and Christina Ricci. She loves it and she loves the final scene where they are all dancing around in the kitchen. She says it's like us. Which is true, she, her sister and mom, me and the aunties are always singing and dancing around. We have our tough times but we are always there for each other, and we always try to have a fun and happy atmosphere. It's funny, my girls loved that movie when they were younger because it reminded them of us. Only I always cooked full meals, not finger foods. Erin is the one who makes finger fods. lol! You'd have to see the movie to understand. But I put the movie on so Chloe could see that they girls in the movie didn't have dad's either but they were happy and just fine.

I had a bit of surgery on my arm for an infection, it's healing and it hurts but the antibiotic side effects are a real pain in the butt.

Well, I gotta go take my meds, I wanted to blog before I do that because they make me a bit discombobulated! lol!

My tattoo is looking good, Shannon gets hers finished tonight. Here'smy tattoo, I never posted it. Its a music note, with yin and yang and roses.


No matter what happens keep the family close, lots of love no matter what. And for the single moms with ex's who don't care, you can do it! Be strong, keep your head up, keep the kids close, show lot's of love, don't bash the ex, and even though it's one of the hardest things you'll ever do raising kids on your own, you will become stronger than you ever beleived you could be, and you will also raise kids who are very strong as well.
