Missing my out of town kids and grandkids

My oldest son T.J. sent me a birthday card today with a picture of him, his wife Debbie and son Brett. He also sent a pic of his daughter Kalee who is now 7. He hadn't seen her for 6 years because when he and his ex Tina moved to Iowa, Tina took off with Kalee. He saw them in the mall shortly after Thanksgiving and Tina couldn't run away or ignore him so she had no choice but to introduce Kalee to her Dad. They have been in contact ever since, and catching up. I am so glad he finally found her. I was there for Kalee's birth and Kalee and I were very close till Tina disappeared. It was so hard to say goodbye when they left for Iowa, because I knew what was going to happen. this is the song that was playing when we said goodbye, and Erin was singing to Kalee. So Erin called it Kalee's song

But now T.J. has Kalee back with him and so it's awesome.
So here is Kalee

Nancy and I went for a walk to the park and back, it's good exercise because there are lots of hills, it's all desert. The weather was nice and the air smelled sweet like the desert smells in the winter. It is supposed to rain this weekend and cool off quite a bit. It's already clouding up. This week flew by, it's hard to believe tomorrow is friday.

The puppy has become my little shadow, everywhere I go she follows, if I do dishes or cook she is at my feet, if I am on the computer she is sleeping on my feet. At night she sleeps by my bed or on the bed and if I get up in the middle of the night she follows me. The other dogs and cats sleep outside my bedroom door and follow me as well, it looks funny seeing me walk to the bathroom or kitchen with a trail of pets behind me. But she's kinda adopted me as her mom. Erin as always is losing interest. Oh well.

I better go cook dinner.

Hugs,
Maria

Well, gotta go cook dinner
