I got my severence check today delivered by Fedex, which is cool, at least they get it to you right away. Then I called to see what part of my retirement I am entitled to. That's not to bad either, and I got a bunch of paperwork from the unemployment department as well. So that is cool. And I have applied for some jobs online.
I also have the opportunity to help promote Iconcrash, my favorite band! So that will be fun. I really want to see them make it, they are in the process of releasing a new album. Jaani, is a good friend and we have allot in comon, especially where spiritual interests and music are concerned. So being layed off actually gives me time to help promote them.
I had a very interesting conversation with my spirit guide last weekend whenI kinda knew I was going to be laid off and he asked me these questions, and of course I had to ponder them and answer. Here are the questions:
"Can you fully express the person you are and the person you can become, through the life structures you have created consciously and unconsciously?"
"How is your greatest weakness also your greatest strength - and how is your greatest strength your greatest weakness?"
"What are you clinging to as if your life depended on it? And what in your life is ready to break free and become more?"
"How can you remain an individual and be one with "all that is" at the same time?"
"What possibilities can you access only through complete surrender?"
He told me there is no right or wrong answer, there is only the journey. But he really made me understand that this layoff is a great opportunity and lots of doors would open for me. And he was as always right. He was like "come on now, you know you really don't like that job, you care too much about people, and are too honest to go along with what is happening to continue to work there." He was right, it's just hard sometimes, especially with the economy the way it is to just quit something you don't like doing."
One of my former team mates, told me that nothing is the same any more, she says, I was the one that kept everyone going when people were on stressfull calls. I was the team mom, and the team cheer leader, and I was always sending funny icons and pics to people through instant message when they were on really stressful calls. I kept everyone sane. lol! I made sure they were recognized on birthdays, anniversary's, when they accompished things, I made sure potlucks and parties were planned as well. I told her that someone can take over all of that. She say'sit won't ever be the same. My team leader said people would flip out when she told the team I was laid off and apparently they did. But I learned allot form the job, lot's of valuable skills, and now I can use them in another job, and also to help promote Iconcrash. So I look forward to the future.
I gotta go
Hugs,
Maria
